Annual Soirée

For the Rehabilitation Center for Children and Adults

Dedicated patrons and supporters of Palm Beach’s Rehabilitation Center for Children and Adults (RCCA)
gathered to commemorate the 33rd Annual Soirée at the exquisite Club Colette.

Chairs Sherri and John Grace alongside Co-Chairs Margaret Betten and Christian Seigrist warmly greeted
guests for this season’s kickoff gathering. The elegant Tropical Christmas event was sponsored by J.P.
Morgan Private Bank and provided a joyous evening for one hundred RCCA’s most steadfast donors.

“Tonight is very special as we are celebrating our 85th anniversary! As one of the oldest institutions on the
island of Palm Beach, RCCA has made a huge difference in the lives of so many individuals in our
community,” remarked Chair Sherri Grace. “As a charitable, non-profit organization, RCCA’s mission is to
help children and adults who struggle with physical challenges. The center is dedicated to serving
individuals who may be uninsured or underinsured, making sure that financial circumstances do not limit
their access to essential services.”

The evening was awash with Christmas colors including the stunning Everett Simon centerpieces of green
and red Anthuriums, Obaki Anthuriums, green Cymbidium Orchids, red James Story Orchids, miniature
green Hydrangeas, and floating Gardenias.
The devoted committee members were Natalie Dejoux, Trish Donnelley-Stockham, Pat Dunnington, Peter
and Soraya Geisler, Jane Grace, Heather T. Henry, Heather and Patrick Henry, Bea Hilton, Kay and Peter
Lyons, Lynn Pohanka, Alice and Cater Randolph, Nancy Reynolds, Mollie Slattery, Bill and Sally Soter,
and Jane Told.

Chair Sherri Grace honored the legacy of the committee members who passed this year, Pat Johnson
and Ginny Simmons, whose contributions to this Soiree and RCCA have been invaluable. She also
commented on the Grace family’s long ties to both RCCA and Club Colette “my mother-in-law, Jane
Grace, was involved in this organization from 1966 as a board member, until the present as an honorary
board member. Incidentally, this clubhouse (Club Colette) was her family’s home in the 1930’s and she
always had fond memories here.”

Special thanks to the generous event underwriters: Bill and Christine Aylward, Margie Betten, Natalie
Dejoux, Pat Dunnington, Peter and Soraya Geisler, Heather and Patrick Henry, Heather T. Henry, Lynn
Pohanka, and Douglas and Trish Stockham.

Proceeds from the Soiree go directly to the Rehabilitation Center for Children and Adults’ program
services for occupational and physical therapy, speech and language treatment, as well as a preschool
program for children with physical challenges. Continuously operating since 1940, RCCA has made a

meaningful difference in the lives of so many individuals in our community. For more information visit
